A Special collaboration for this month's Contest Hall for :iconpkmn-crossing:!

OMG! :faint:

This picture took forever (and it was mainly because of my own sluggishness). Much blood, sweat and tears (mostly tears) was poured into this, but... look at it. JUST LOOK AT IT! This is the second most complicated picture I've ever done (the first being that Sonic Relationship chart). And... I haven't been this proud of a picture in a very long time and it's all thanks to Dark! :meow: Our styles really pull the whole thing together quite nicely.

Dark and I decided to do something that was a bit different from the styles that everyone else was doing. We took our vintage all the way to the other side of the world... Vintage India! I had pictured doing something that used to be shown on the Hindu theater posters of old and man, I think we managed to pull it off pretty well, don't you? :)

Upon looking at the poster, it tells a tale of a dancing duo that will appear in a theater near you! The title reads Dil Ley Gaya (Stolen Heart) Tour, which features many songs and dance numbers including, but not limited to:

Dil Ley Gaya Pardesi: Their main number [link]
Dil Ley Gaya (Stolen Heart): [link]
Ni Nikkia (Little One): [link]
Dola re Dola: [link]
Nimbooda Nimbooda: [link]
Maar Dala: [link]
Sakhiya: [link]
And many more!

*LOL* Ivan's such a sport, wanting to learn how to dance like Baeset. And, I assume it must have been easy to remember, considering he's an alakazam. :XD:

Speaking of styles... here are the parts that Dark and I did together:

Darkm00nShine drew the top pic of Baeset and Ivan and the Donphan pair. He also did the shading and highlights.

I drew the bottom pic of Baeset and Ivan and I did the coloring, textures, and custom jewelry.

The various textures, if not made by me were originally created by *redheadstock

And yes, that Hindu text probably isn't accurate. I don't know that language and Google Translate probably isn't the most accurate thing in the world. So, don't take it too seriously. It's just there to make the poster look more authentic. :XD:

:new: Update Damn... We didn't win. Not even a mention. FFFF... I'm just not good at this sort of thing. >.< (But Dark and I did have lots of fun with this and I'm happy he wanted to be my partner anyway.)

I applaud such massive work of great collaboration!
First of all, you've captured the colorfulness of the India posters very well, and the vintage look is very fitting. I really did giggle when I see that main picture on the top. :giggle:
The poster as a whole not only is interesting, the little bits of fun details make it quite enjoyable to observe in, er, details, too.^^
And look at those jewels and clothing! So shiny! O.O (And you've made the jewel rotate along Baeset's motion as well!^^ )
Your approach was certainly different, but I'm not much surprised considering Baeset and Ivan are already quite unique characters in the PKMNC world, from what I understand.^^
I consider India's dancing to be one of the most unique (and possibly difficult) dance styles in the world, so I'm pretty sure Ivan had a lot to practice on, actually. :XD:
Great work, and good luck in the contest, Amber! :#1:
