:bulletgreen: PERSONALITY:
Being a newly-hatched baby, Kompala is curious and loves to hop around, explore and try new things. She also loves to sit in warm places, especially near windows and in laps. Laps being her favorite, since that means Kompala can get brushies and pets. She also enjoys grooming herself, acting a bit odd for a venonat, even for a delta, as she rolls around on the carpet and blankets and acting very hamster-like. Kompala also loves playing impromptu games of 'hide and seek' and 'roll the ball'. She's also been known to attach herself to the clothes and fur of Baeset and the others, as well as cling to the backs of those whom lack such things. Overall, she's very sweet and friendly and also very tolerant of many different personalities.

:bulletred: HISTORY:
Being a newly hatched bug child in a world she's never seen before, there's not much to say about Kompala herself. Baeset just happened to find her lost egg while scouting the Sky Village of Niji as a transformed noibat. However, there is much to be told about her egg's and rumored delta species' origins.

It's unknown where grass-delta bug-types first originated, as many weren't discovered until Naruko, Tsukiko and the shaymins first appeared to the Armonia school and lead everyone to the Sky Village of Niji. However, it might be safe to assume that whether it was due to mutation, diet, magic, or natural causes, the only place to find these bugs were in this flying city.

Grass-type delta venonats are interesting specimens. Unlike their bug/poison-type cousins, these puffy bugs lack natural toxins and instead gained more of a symbolic relationship with plants and the sun. Although they can consume berries and other normal venonat foods, the deltas can also rely solely on photosynthesis for nutrients, therefore, allowing them to survive and thrive in any environment that has sunlight, even if there is very little meat and vegetation in the area.
Diet is only one of the big differences. Grass-delta venonats also developed plant-like growths and features on their bodies. Many appearing as various thistles, with the milk thistle being the most common. This isn't just for looks, though, since not only does it provide camouflage from predators, but also gives them interesting defenses. These venonats always have pollen on them, which not only can attract wild pollinating insects, like combees, but it also irritates the nasal cavities of anything that tries to eat them. These bugs also have a small row of velcro-like spikes hidden in their grassy bottoms which stick out when agitated or if forced. These not only discourage predators from chomping down on them, but also allow the venonats to attach themselves to fur or clothing and be transported to new locations without wasting their own precious energy.

It will be interesting to see how Kompala will do in this new world, surrounded by unfamiliar pokemon species. Also, Baeset looks forward to the day when Kompala decides to evolve, assuming that the venonat chooses to. Who knows how a grass-type venomoth will look?

:bulletgreen: MOVESET:
:icongrasstypeplz:- Giga DrainEgg - A very strong, special, nutrient-draining move where the user inflicts damage on the target. ½ of the damage dealt will be restored as HP!
Kompala leaps into the air and bites down on her opponent with her fangs. She then absorbs its nutrients away to restore her own energy and fill up her belly!
:iconbugtypeplz:- Signal Beam - A very strong special move which involves the user flashing an eerie beam of light at the target. Has a 10% chance of causing confusion!
Kompala's eyes flicker a little as she stares at her aggressor. Then, a bright, blinding flash of light escapes from them, causing damage to her target. This allows her to quickly make her escape.
:icongrasstypeplz:- Spiky ShieldDelta - A status move that creates a layer of spikes around the user to prevent physical attacks from causing it damage. The attacker will also suffer damage equal to 1/8 of its maximum HP!
Kompala sticks her butt up in the air and forces tiny, velcro-like spikes to stick out. She'll remain in this position until the aggressor backs away.
(Out of Battle Uses) - Kompala uses a lesser version of this move in order to attach herself to the fur or clothing of others, like a burr. That way, she can travel around without wasting precious energy!
:icongrasstypeplz:- Sleep Powder - A non-damaging status move where the user scatters a thick powder which induces sleep to any target that inhales it.
Kompala changes the chemical natures in her pollen, then rustles her fur and releases the pollen dust stuck deep within it. This cloud can put most pokemon to sleep if they're standing close by, especially if there's no wind in the area.
(Out of Battle Uses) - Kompala likes to use this move to placate any aggressive, or overly stimulated pokemon that bother her. Typically, Felix gets the brunt of this.
(Kompala also knows the grass-delta move: Synthesis.)

:bulletred: EXTRA QUIRKS AND FACTS:
~ Kompala's name is Hindi for 'bud' or 'bloom'.
~ Kompala likes to make hamster-like 'kushi kushi' sounds while grooming herself in a similar fashion. Apparently, she has to be really comfortable with someone's presence if she does it in public.
~ She loves to be pet and scratched. Kompala may be the perfect lap pet, just as long as her spikes don't pop out.
~ She seems to be really sensitive to vibrations in the ground. Certain ones can even drastically change her mood, for better or worse.
~ Due to her grass-typing, Kompala tends to become really energetic during intense sunlight, but becomes droopy and mopey during cloudy days. This seems to be worse during the winter. Artificial light seems to snap her out of her melancholy, though.
~ Kompala doesn't seem to be afraid of much, aside from two major things: Fire and strong wind. Fire is self-explanatory and strong wind because she's so light, she can easily be blown away if not attached to something.
